8 Months
Here we are again - back for another baby update. Getting bigger and slower by the minute now. Month 7 was the Braxton Hicks month...although I'm sure they're not going to stop any time soon. Month 8 will probably be the "either be wet or indoors month" as it has already been so hot. I plopped myself in the kids' kiddie pool this weekend and only got out to come back inside. We're headed back to Fargo/Fergus next week for Adam's summer vacation so there will be much more pool time to come!..(I'm sure you're thinking that my WHOLE summer seems like a vacation - you try to be pregnant and have 3 kids ages 4 and under to entertain!!) As for the kids and their thoughts on the baby, Timothy has mentioned that he's looking forward to when I'm not pregnant and can run and play with them again. Luke likes to lift up my shirt, kiss my belly, shake it saying, "Wake up!" and give it raspberries. Hannah knows where the baby is and can point to it. She likes to give my belly a nice whack every once in a while so we're teaching her what "gentle" means. My mom just bought Yoshi (still his nickname) a Moses Basket to keep him out of harms (or Hannah's) way when we're on the main floor. No more just laying the baby on the couch with such busy kids. OK, I've definitely rambled enough for this post. Hopefully you followed all my thoughts, scattered as they are these days. That whole "pregnant brain" thing is amazingly true...

Congrats to Hannah on taking steps and Luke on potty training! Erik's been potty training too and we've talked about "our friend Luke" as motivation to take a bathroom break when the idea is less than favorable. "I bet Luke is taking a bathroom break right now, too!"
Wow...Andrea you are looking amazing! I hope that you are able to enjoy Fergus and Fargo!! Good luck trying to stay cool. It's a hard thing to do in this heat!

We are shocked to see that the new Berge Baby is nicknamed Yoshi, because we have one too! Our Josiah is 4 months old, but we call him Yoshi since that is a variation of the Hebrew form of his name (Yoshi Yahu). Makes for a great nickname! Maybe we'll be able to get the two Yoshis together someday.
