We had a snow day today. Lots of slippery roads, blowing snow and frigid temps. So, that meant that we had some energetic boys by the end of the day. Timothy had been talking to Adam about earning money for his bank when Adam came up with this bright idea. He told Timothy that for every lap Tim ran around our house he would give him 1 cent. Well, Timothy wasted no time and took off.
Here's Timothy somewhere around lap 100. Yes, I said 100!! And he wasn't done. He finally gave up after lap 153. Adam measured the distance he ran and it ended up being around 1.6 miles!!
Luke wasn't about to be left out. He completed 60 or so laps - we sort of lost track because he kept stopping to play with Hannah.
Hannah ran about 20 laps. Not bad for an almost 2 year old! At the end she stopped to make some calls. :)
The boys were eager to cash in on their earnings. Thankfully Adam had the exact change needed for both boys. That money is BURNING a hole in their banks but they're gonna keep saving up.

Auntie.
aaahhh see?? don't you think someone should build us an indoor hamster wheel?
That's good, very good! We'll be implementing that one for sure!
I love it! Way to be creative guys. Way too fun :) Great pic's! -Alissa
That is a very good sign if your boys are motivated by 1 cents a lap! We are impressed!
Enjoy it now. Teenagers are more expensive. In trying to motivate Nick to drive to the bucket more, we just put out $1 for every basketball point scored in a game. Money speaks!
That is absolutely hilarious... I am totally laughing! You may be grooming some track stars! Give the kids hugs for me!
