We spent Christmas Eve in Eau Claire without either set of our parents - a first for us. Thankfully, John and Sara joined us to make it feel a little more special.
We started the morning off by making a gingerbread house and train.

Then, we made individual pizzas for lunch.
Of course there had to be a wrestling match with all the boys...except Josiah.
John helped the boys crack nuts - a Berge tradition that had to continue in our house too!
One family picture before they ripped into the presents.
Yes, Timothy can pick up Josiah. It's not something I encourage but he is very helpful in a pinch. I'm sure there are plenty of other moms out there who can agree. :)
The kids were all so excited to "help" Josiah open his first present. It's a good thing Josiah didn't mind all the extra help.
This little guy is so adorable! I kiss those cheeks constantly!
Christmas morning brought all kinds of cheap junk in the stockings. I'm hoping that nothing will work by the end of the month....is that bad??? :) Notice Uncle John snapping away - he gets the BEST pictures. I wish I had his (or Sara's) eye for photography.

Great pictures and commentary. I love the smile on Hannah in the picture with you and Sara. Also, the darling Christmas picture of Josiah in his snuggly red outfit.
I LOVE all the matching Christmas outfits, but Josiah in his sleeper is SO CUTE!!! He really is adorable, as are his brothers and sister!
The family picture is a great one! I miss you all...already!
