Adam and I had an extra special evening last night. We went to the Viennese Ball at the university here. It's really fancy so we tried our best to fit in. We asked the kids to take pictures of us before we left. Here's Luke's attempt. I kept telling him, "Make sure you can see Mommy's head in the screen."...Apparently I should have emphasized Daddy's head too. :)
Here's a clearer picture - taken by a grown-up...
We all met at the house of some church friends for really delicious appetizers before the Ball began. Here are two couple friends of ours who are volunteer youth leaders. We all have a great time together!
This is a picture of the whole group who met for appetizers. It was so comical because it felt just like Prom (although I never went) but a little reversed. Instead of parents taking pictures of their kids, we had kids taking pictures of their parents. I think the best moment came when one kid had been given a really nice, but older, camera. He kept trying to turn it on because the screen wasn't lit up. Poor thing was really embarrassed when the owners told him it was an "old fashioned" camera and you had to look through the lens. It amazes me that kids hardly remember that type of camera...
