and I lost! We were in the basement and Josiah somehow pulled over the bookshelf. I was laying on the floor and didn't see it coming...at all. It got me right on the side of my face.
I quickly got some ice on it and tried not to cry too loudly. Meanwhile, our ever-sympathetic children found their own ice packs to nurse their injuries too.
Here's a shot about 20 minutes after it happened. Not too noticeable- yet.
I wish I'd been wearing those goggles when I got tackled. Maybe that's what Josiah was trying to tell me??
Here's the damage a couple hours later. I'm thinking things will darken more - just in time for Easter. So much for a nice family picture tomorrow morning....
Tune in later to see if my eye swells shut. :)

Ouch...looks like it really hurt. It will make for a great story after it stops hurting. Does this get you an out for making dinner tomorrow??

Oh Andrea, that does not look good - and it will undoubtly get ... ah... more colorful... We are so sorry! Keep a close eye on how you are feeling and don't hesitate to get to a Doctor if things seem not normal, okay?

Fortunately, my face broke the fall.
