We spent Saturday in the Minneapolis area as we had to pick up Timothy who enjoyed a few days alone with Grandma and Grandpa. We hit IKEA right away - that place is CRAZY on Saturdays but we had to make a quick stop. After that we ate lunch and headed to Como Zoo. Luke said that the only thing he wanted to see was a giraffe. I figured that the only picture I needed to take was just that - Luke and a giraffe. And can I just tell you how nice it was to not spend those few hours trying to get the perfect shot of whatever we saw. Sometimes I lose the perspective of just enjoying the moment...not trying to capture it. Can you relate?? Is it the curse of a scrapbooker????
After the zoo we hung out at a playground and picnic area. The boys, big and small, roughed around playing football while my mom snapped shots of Hannah.

Thanks for the fun day together! See ya in a couple weeks.

Great family! I'm amazed by how many cross-culturally adopting families read MckMama's blog. I just keep finding new ones.
We're just getting started with our colorful family. We hoping to add another in the next year.
Wish we could have been there!! Thanksgiving cannot come fast enough!

Love that all Luke wanted to see was a giraffe! And yes, I think it is the curse of the scrapbooker... "Oh, this would make a great scrapbooking page!" SNAP, SNAP, SNAP "Oh, wait - please don't move, that paper I just got would be perfect for this picture!" SNAP, SNAP or, "Oh, I just got these great pumpkin rub-ons, maybe if I have the kids play with their pumpkins I can use them..." SNAP - Yep, definitely a curse! :)
